Helen Hardin Davis

Helen Hardin Davis, age 89 of Forest City died Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Hospice House in Forest City.  Helen was born October 22, 1929 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Dewey and Annie Haulk Hardin.  She was a retired beautician and a faithful member of First Wesleyan Church of Forest City where she was active in her church and served on numerous committees over the years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Edgar Davis,daughter, Cynthia Davis, and nephew, Garth Melton.

Survivors include her son, Christopher Davis and wife Tracy of Hopewell Junction, NY, a daughter, Sandy Davis of the home, her sisters, Dorothy DeBrule and Susie Hardin, and brothers, Hubert Hardin and Tim Hardin all of Forest City.  There is one granddaughter, Melody Davis Mitchell and her daughter, Libby Mitchell both of Fairhope, Alabama.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at the First Wesleyan Church.  Interment will follow in the Cool Springs Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5 until 7 o'clock Monday evening at The Padgett and King Mortuary.
