Grady Roland Fite

Grady Roland Fite, age 83, of Ellenboro, North Carolina died Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.  Born February 6, 1937 in Rutherford County he was a son of the late Landy Fite and Ada Nanney Fite. 

Roland was an avid racing fan and over the years owned several race cars.  He also enjoyed NASCAR racing.  Roland  worked for many years in the used car business.

Survivors include his wife, Beulah Hamrick Fite of the home; three daughters, Connie Gail Fite of Clayton, NC; Rhonda Fite Moore and husband Shawn of Forest City, NC, and Patricia Anne Fite of Ellenboro, NC; grandchildren Kenneth Ray ”Casey” Chalfant, Christopher Andrew Chalfant, John William Smart and Hunter Caden Fite.  

The funeral service will be held at 2 o’clock on Friday, February 14, 2020 in The Padgett & King Chapel with Reverend Nicholas King officiating.  Visitation will be one until two o’clock prior to the service at the mortuary.  Interment will follow the service at the Campfield Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.
