Gloria Marie Millette, age 77 of Spindale, North Carolina died Saturday, July 26, 2025.  She was born on April 7, 1948, in Lowell, Massachusetts and was a daughter of the late Gerald and Alice Roy Geoffroy.  Gloria was a devoted homemaker whose family was the center of her world. Her life’s mission was rooted in caring for, teaching, loving, and praying for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She brought joy to those around her through playful pranks and by sharing cherished family stories that made everyone laugh.

Gloria passed down more than just laughter—she shared treasured French traditions and family recipes, leaving a lasting legacy of love and culture. She also had a mischievous side, often sneaking cookies with a smile that let you know she was up to something sweet.

She was a strong, resilient, independent woman who never gave up on anything—or anyone. Above all, Gloria taught the importance of keeping life’s true priorities in order: God, family, and self. Her unwavering faith and love continue to guide those she leaves behind.

Gloria was a devout Catholic and a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard Geoffroy, Paul Geoffroy, her sister, Claire Geoffroy Daigle and her husband, Edmond, and sister-in-law, Anne Dowd Geoffroy.

Survivors include her children, David Millette (Heather), Lowell, MA, Susan M. Daigle (Gerald) of Rutherfordton, Paul Millette (Rayona) of Ellenboro, Kevin Millette (Christina) of Rutherfordton, Brian Millette (Rebecca) of Forest City, and Debra M. Thomas (David) of Ellenboro, her brother, Gerard Geoffroy of Pennsylvania, and sister-in-law, Bernadette Gendron Geoffroy of Pennsylvania, her grandchildren, Samantha Millette, Derek Millette, Zachary Daigle (Christina), Andrew Daigle, Joseph Daigle, Katlynn Koenigshof (Trent), Lauren James (Preston), Emma Millette, Tara Millette, Brendan Epley (Kyle), Nathan Millette, Colton Snethen, Keaton Snethen (Carley), Jamie Davis (Haley), Seth Thomas, and Dylan Thomas.  There are also 12 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 12:10 on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, celebrated by Reverend Father Herbert Burke, V.F., Deacon Andy Cilone, and Deacon David Faunce. Interment will follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 11 until 12 noon in the Narthex of the church. Rosary will be said at 11:30.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 1024 West Main Street, Forest City, North Carolina 28043, for their outreach programs.
