Glenda Short Obituary

Glenda Joyce Cogdell Short, age 57 of Forest City, died Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at her home. She was born October 16, 1964, in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Glenn Oscar Cogdell and Jane Adeline Morrow Cogdell. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother who cared for her family deeply.

Survivors include her children, Heather Whiteside and husband Michael of Bostic, Ashley Adams and husband Nickle of Virginia and Jennifer Green and husband Joshua of Forest City, brothers, Rodney Cogdell of Forest City and Michael Cogdell of Ellenboro, a sister, Joann Kemper-Cogdell of Ellenboro. There are also 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

A family directed memorial service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the home of Nancy Morrow at 3420 Pearidge Road, Bostic, North Carolina. The Reverend Donald Dover and Reverend Kevin Fullbright will officiate the service. The family will receive friends following the service until 1 PM.
