Claude Glen Bailey, age 82 of Forest City died Monday, July 6, 2026, following a sudden illness.  Glen was born on August 15, 1943, in Rutherford County and was a son of the late Farris and Ruth Harrill Bailey.  He worked at one time for Community Cash Grocery and later for many years at Harris-Teeter before starting his own car business.  Glen was the owner of Bailey Car Sales in Forest City.

He was a member of Concord Baptist Church and a United States Army Veteran.  Glen was also a member of Forest City Masonic Lodge No. 381AF&AM.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beryl Blackwell Bailey and his brother, Don Bailey.

Survivors include his nephews, Steve Luckadoo and Shaun Henson, his sisters-in-law, Beverly Hicks of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina and Barbara Bailey of Ellenboro, and a host of friends, including his close and special friends, Bob and Anna Ward of Forest City.
