George Logan Lane age 97 of Forest City, North Carolina, died Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at his home.  

Born September 9, 1927, in Rutherford County, North Carolina he was the son of the late W.E. Lane and Hattie Hayne Lane. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Army and was a retired barber with over 40 years of service.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Alberto Lane in 2016.

Surviving are his wife, Alicia Arpi Lane of the home; a son, Clifford Lane of Florida, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 11 o’clock in the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church with Deacon Andy Cilone officiating. Interment will be private for the family.

The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be recited on Monday at 6 o’clock at The Padgett & King Mortuary with the family receiving friends following.
