Frances Simpson Huntley

Frances Simpson Huntley, age 90 of Forest City died Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at the Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Born  May 21, 1929  she was the daughter of the late Kelly Edgar Simpson and Myrtis  Bowen  Simpson. She was a 1946  graduate  of Harris  High  School having been 1st in her Class. She retired from the Rutherford County Department  of Social Services with over twenty years of service. Frances was a faithful  member of the Bethany Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, was a member of the choir, served as WMU Director and was involved in missions. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and traveling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of  70 years,  Joseph William Huntley in 2016  and a daughter,  Sue Huntley in 2011.

Surviving are three daughters, Sandra  Jo " Sandy" Huntley, Cynthia Huntley Beason  Calvert and husband, Hollis, and Deborah Huntley Keeter Adkins, all of Forest City; four grandchildren, Chad Keeter, Nicole Burch, Benjamin Beason and Joey Beason,; five great-grandchildren, Courtney Keeter, Chandler Keeter, Skylar Burch, Quinn Beason and Naomi Beason; and her  faithful dog, Buddy.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning ,July 25, 2019 at eleven o'clock at the Bethany Baptist Church with the Reverend Chris Fox and the Reverend Marvin Greene officiating. A family committal will be held in the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday from ten until the time of service at the church.
