Florence Kuzirian Robbins, 94, of Forest City, died Saturday July 9th, 2022, at Hospice of the Carolinas Foothills.

Our “Nana”, as she liked to be called, was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother and friend.  Florence was born on March 26th, 1928, in Boston, Massachusetts and was the youngest daughter of the late Mihran and Rose Kurizian.  Florence grew up in Dorchester, Massachusetts with her sisters Elizabeth and Ann.  Florence met the love of her life, Jack Robbins, while he was in the Navy.  They were married on December 18th, 1947.  After living in different locations, they settled down in North Carolina where Jack grew up.

Florence was a member of Race Path Baptist where she was active in the adult choir and church library. Although Florence lived in the South for  fifty-four years, she never lost her  very thick Boston accent.  You never knew what she might say or do next, but she always kept everyone laughing or blushing.  Florence had many interests such as sewing, knitting, ceramics, reading, coloring and playing games and cards with friends and her grandchildren.

Florence is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Robbins; daughter Jacqueline Robbins; son Greg Robbins; and sisters Elizabeth Sarkisian and Ann Martin.

Those left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Denise Robbins Botts and her husband Mike; four granddaughters:  Ashley Holland Toney and husband Jim, Haley Holland Gentry and husband Kurt, Angela Goodrich and husband Jason and Ciara North and her husband Mark.  Great grandchildren include Boone Toney, Aiden North and Payton North. There are also three step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11 o’clock on Wednesday July 13th, 2022, at Race Path Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Wesley Smith and Reverend Randall Cooper officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery on Wednesday.
