Eugene Marshall Wilson

Eugene Marshall Wilson, age 64, of Lake Lure, died Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at his home.  Gene was born on March 8, 1959, in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, and was a son of the late Fred and Judy Schaffer Wilson.  
Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Wilson, of the home; son, Chad Wilson of Mancos, Colorado; daughter, Shannon Wilson of Lake Lure; brothers Tim Wilson (Francine) of Pennsylvania and Fred Wilson of Florida; his sister Dorothy Soltis (Jeff) of Florida and his canine companion, "Raylan".  
Gene obtained his degree in construction and worked as a construction superintendent until his retirement earlier this year.  Gene enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, and anything outdoors.  
A celebration of Gene's life will be planned at a later date.
