Esther Cabrera Obituary

Esther Cabrera age 85 of Forest City, North Carolina died Friday, September 10, 2021, at Willow Ridge Nursing Center in Rutherfordton after an extended illness.

Born April 30, 1936 in East Havana, Cuba she was the daughter of the late Antonio Prieto and Ana Baez. She had resided in Naples, Florida for 30 years where she worked in Sales for Marshall’s Department Store for over 20 years. Moving to Hendersonville, North Carolina in 2005 to be closer to her family and most recently living in Forest City. She was a Jehovah’s Witness and enjoyed knitting.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law; Antonio and Avisag Acosta of Forest City’ five grandchildren, Antonio Acosta, Jr., Azarelly Acosta, Arlene Acosta, Jenell Acosta and Adrian Acosta; eight great-grandchildren, Andrew Acosta, Matthew Acosta, Hannah Acosta, T.J. Acosta, Logan Martinez, Emma Martinez, Luke Martinez and Ella Munoz.

A Family Memorial service will be held at a later date.
