Eddie Philbeck

Jerry Edward "Eddie" Philbeck passed away August 19th at his home in Bostic NC after a brief fight with Covid. Some of the names he loved best were "Honey", "Daddy", "Grandpa", and "Paw Paw". He loved his wife of almost 45 years, his grown children and their families more than anything. He was an avid reader, lover of nature and history and a faithful supporter of the Carolina Panthers. 

He was preceded in death by his Father and Mother Jack Edward and Katherine Hinson Philbeck.

Left to cherish his memory are Rita Ervin Philbeck of the home. daughter Jessica Philbeck Collins of Hickory and husband Chris, daughter Amanda Philbeck Hill and husband Dustin, son Jeremy Philbeck and wife Morgan. His five grandchildren: Chloe Collins, Haven Hill, Kinley Hill, Riley Philbeck, and Baby Philbeck., sister, Kathy Philbeck Jolley and husband Charles of Virginia, his brother, Scott Philbeck of Mississippi, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He also leaves behind best friends that always had his back. Ronnie Brooks, Mark Nelson, Mark Cline, and Sam Blanton.

A Celebration of Eddie's life will be Saturday September 4th at 11am at the Chapel at The Padgett & King Mortuary with Rev. Sam Henderson, Dr. Charles Jolley, and Rev. Chad Dillard officiating. Interment will follow in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.  The Family will receive friends on Friday September 3rd from 5-7pm at Padgett & King.

Family will gather at the home 316 Copperhead Drive, Ellenboro.
