Earl Philbeck

Thomas Earl Philbeck, 67, of Ellenboro, NC, died Sunday, January 17, 2021 at his home.  Born in Cleveland County, NC, he was the son of the late Jessie Earl Philbeck and Orla Durham Philbeck. He retired from James River Equipment, was a 1971 graduate of East Rutherford High School and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Strickland Philbeck, of the home; his son, Brandon Philbeck (Tammy) of Black Mountain, NC; his daughter, Kim Baker of Ellenboro, NC; two sisters, Betty Greene (Terry) and Mary Cooper (Junior), all of Ellenboro, NC; his grandson, Jacoby Philbeck; brothers-in-law, Larry Strickland (Ann), Bill Strickland (Sheila), Doug Strickland (Gail), and Mike Strickland (Pam); and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Conner, Rev. Doug Worley and Mr. Brandon Philbeck officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Wednesday at Padgett & King.
