Dorothy Inez Olsen, age 88,a former resident of Brookdale Assisted Living ,Forest City, North Carolina, died Monday, June 22, 2020 at Willow Ridge Nursing Center.

She was born April 11, 1932 in Memphis, Tennessee where she was raised. Dorothy was a registered nurse and a graduate of Southern Missionary College in Collegedale, TN.

Dorothy lived in Forest City, Florida for 53 years and was a faithful member of Forest Lake Church in Apopka, Florida before moving to North Carolina. Her hobbies included travel, spending time at the beach and watching birds.

Survivors include her sons, Karl Olsen and wife Julia of Columbus, NC, Kenneth Olsen and wife Kathy of Jupiter, FL, her daughter, Donna Manley and husband Brent of Memphis, TN, as well as six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A private family committal service will be held at Memphis Memorial Park in Memphis, TN.
