Donnie Carroll Wood, age 80 of Forest City, died Friday, November 14, 2025, at Hospice House in Forest City.  Donnie was born on October 29, 1945, in Spartanburg County, South Carolina and was a son of the late Henry and Helen Hatchet Wood. 

Donnie worked in Carpet and Floorcovering Sales, traveling over five states. He served in the United States Navy on the East Coast aboard the USS Turner as a Seaman in the Personnel office. He was a member of Crestview Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Faye Radford Wood, his daughters, Melody Hood (Jamie) and Helen Bailey, his step-sons, Tim Mace (Lois) and Kenny Mace (Elizabeth), and his brother, Henry Wood. There are 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and one expectant great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held 12 noon on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, in The Padgett and King Chapel with the Reverend Ernie Cole officiating.  Military Honors will be accorded following the service at the chapel. The family will receive friends from 11 until 12 noon prior to the service at the mortuary.
