Donald Eugene Turner, Jr., age 69 of Ellenboro died June 3, 2026.  Donald was born on September 10, 1956, in Rutherford County and he was a son of the late Donald Eugene Turner, Sr., and Nancy Ann Smith Turner.   Donald was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church and had worked for the NC Department of Transportation.  He was a graduate of East Rutherford High School, and he enjoyed wrestling, hunting and watching his grandchildren at sporting events. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Betty DeBusk Turner who died in 2022.

Survivors include his daughter, Heather Turner Greene and husband Michael of Shelby, step-sons, Stuart Yeatts of Youngsville, NC, and Scott Yeatts of Wendell, NC, his brother, Tommy Turner and wife Connie of Ellenboro, his grandchildren, Michael, Isaac (Autumn), Elijah (Savannah), and Lily;  great-grandchildren, Tyson and Avery as well as his nephew, Gabe Turner.

Services will be private.
