Donald Ray Conner, age 80 of Mooresboro, died Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Hilltop Health and Rehabilitation in Rutherfordton.  He was born on July 28, 1944, in Rutherford County and was a son of the late Willie and Pearl Agnes Conner.  Donald worked for many years for Stonecutter Corporation and later for Fast Food Merchandisers in Forest City for 15 years until his retirement.  He was a member of Cross Ways Baptist Church in Mooresboro.

He is survived by his sisters, Violet Couch of Spindale and Edith Hudgins of Forest City.  There are also a number of nieces and nephews including  a nephew, Wayne Conner and wife Norma who were his caretakers. 

A memorial service will be held at 11 o’clock on Saturday, November 16, 2024, in The Padgett and King Chapel.  Following the service the family will continue to celebrate his life at a reception at the home of a great-niece, Christina Hill on Harris-Henrietta Road, Mooresboro.
