Debora Conard Melton

Debora Conard "Debbie"  Melton, age 65 of Ellenboro, North Carolina went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.  Debbie was born on November 17, 1957, in Haywood County and was a daughter of the late Charles Jerry Conard and Estalee Conard Waters.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Steve Conard, and Buddy Conard.  She was a faithful member of Wilson Baptist Church where she held various positions through out the years. 

Debbie worked for Mastercraft Fabrics for 22 years and more recently at Isothermal Community College.  She loved her family and her church family, and she enjoyed cooking and baking, especially for a crowd.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Ronnie Melton of the home, her daughter, Denise Melton Simpson and her son-in-law, Matthew Simpson, granddaughters, Blair Simpson, and Brynlee Simpson all of Indian Trail, North Carolina, her brothers, Kennie Duckett (Joyce) of Rutherfordton, Dewayne Conard (Debbie) of Union Mills, and sister, Jeannie Waters of Rutherfordton.

A visitation will be held from 6 until 8 o’clock on Thursday evening, October 26, 2023, at The Padgett and King Mortuary.  The family will gather privately for interment at Wilson Baptist Church Cemetery, officiated by the Reverend Curtis McDaniel.
