Dagoberto Lopez, age 87 of Forest City, North Carolina died Saturday, January 1, 2022, at Mission Hospital in Asheville. He was born on March 2, 1934 in El Salvador and was a son of the late Victor Melendez and Virginia Lopez.
He was an exemplary father, devoted Christian. He had a special gift for playing the guitar and he enjoyed singing to God. He had a great sense of humor, and always had something clever to say. He was loved and respected by his family here and abroad, and his congregation at church.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Maria Lazo de Lopez, his children, Jorge López. Wife: Dina de López. Children: Jorge López Jr, Griselda López, Kathya López of El Salvador, Henry Lazo. The Funeral service will be held at 5 o’clock on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 in the Padgett and King Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o’clock following the service at the mortuary.
