Mr. Clive Hamilton Haynes, age 67 of Forest City, died Sunday, January 24, 2021. Clive was born on April 29, 1953 on a military base in Houston County, Georgia. He was a son of the late Edwin Yates Haynes and Lily Margaret Roberts Haynes. He was a man of many talents, an artist being his greatest accomplishment. He studied art in England. Clive was responsible for the large and elaborate murals in Forest City and Rutherford County. He was also a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness.
Survivors include his children, Alex Haynes and wife Kimberly of Forest City, Melissa Haynes and husband Eric Matte of Ontario, Canada, brother, Steve Haynes of Forest City and sister, Irene Haynes of Forest City. There are also two grandchildren, Ethan and Eliana Matte as well as nieces and nephews, Gary, Hollie, Matt, Vicky, and their families.
A time of remembrance will be held from 2 until 4 o’clock on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 in The Padgett and King Chapel where family and friends may come and sign the guest registry and pay their respects. Many pieces of his art will be displayed.
Memorials may be made to any charity or organization that helps to teach and promote art with children and young persons.
