Clarence "Junior" McFarland

Clarence Alexander “Junior” McFarland, Jr, age 75 of Doggett Road, Forest City, died Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at his home.  Junior was born on February 6, 1945 in Rutherford County and was a son of the late Clarence A. McFarland, Sr and Mable Ramsey McFarland.  He was a member of M&T Ministries and retired from Broyhill Furniture Industries. 

His son, Craig McFarland and his great-granddaughter, Madilyn Hardy preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Martin McFarland of the home, a son, Mark McFarland, Sr of Forest City, a daughter, Melody Miller and husband Paul of Ellenboro, a brother, David Wilson of Morganton and a sister, Geraldine King of Henrietta.  There are also 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A graveside service will be held at 3 o’clock Monday, January 18, 2021 at M&T Ministries Cemetery, East Main Street, Forest City and will be officiated by the Reverend Scott Smith.  His body will lie in state from 10 until 12 noon on Monday in The Padgett & King Chapel for those wishing to pay their respects and sign the guest registry.
