Christine Phillips Ingle, age 86 of Forest City, died Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at Willow Ridge Nursing Center. Christine was born on December 1, 1934, in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Charlie E. Phillips and Carrie Putnam Phillips.
She was a homemaker for most of her life, but she had worked for the Coca Cola Company, the J. W. Davis Company and Winnie the Pooh Daycare. Christine was graduate of Cool Springs High School and a member of Crestview Baptist Church. As a faithful member of Crestview Baptist, she had served as WMC Director for many years, was a member of the Crestview Choir and a former Sunday School Teacher.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dean William Ingle in 2005, her daughter, Rhonda Ingle Jarrell, and sister, Mary Lou Jackson.
Survivors include her son, Randy Ingle and wife Bebe of Forest City, her sisters, Marie Harrill of Morganton, and Grace Willard of Forest City. There are also five grandchildren, Chad Jarrell, Brandi Holland, Chance Jarrell, Taylor Ingle and Meghan Ingle Melton, and eleven great-grandchildren.
A service from the graveside will be held at 2 o’clock on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Eternal Hills Memorial Park with Reverend Kevin Rohm officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service. She will lie in state from 10 until 12 noon on Saturday at The Padgett and King Mortuary for those that wish to pay their respects.
Memorials may be made to the Building Fund at Crestview Baptist Church, 630 South Church Street, Forest City, North Carolina 28043.
The family will be at the home of Randy and Bebe Ingle, Countrywood Drive, Forest City.
