Christine Lee Dobbins Broome, age 86 of Fayetteville, North Carolina died Friday, December 27, 2024.  Christine was born on June 16, 1938, in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Roscoe Lewis Dobbins and Eunice Lee Harrell Dobbins.

Christine was a homemaker and a stay at home mother and member of Concord Baptist Church, Bostic.  She was a loving mother to her three daughters, and she loved travel taking many trips to Disney World, and she enjoyed taking her daughters on summer trips to the North Carolina mountains and amusement parks.  Christine was an excellent cook, her baked ham, potato salad, homemade fudge, and chocolate cake were her favorites. She made Christmas special and magical for her children and grandchildren and she loved reading all types of books.  In her later life she enjoyed genealogy and tracing her ancestry.

Survivors include her daughters, Connie Broome, Donnie DeVault and husband James, Sandra Malicoat and husband William as well as four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 2 o’clock on Sunday, January 5, 2025, in The Padgett and King Chapel.  Interment will follow at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will have visitation from 5 until 6:30 on Saturday evening at Padgett and King.
