Charles Robert Arrowood

Charles Robert Arrowood, age 73 of Rutherfordton, died Friday, June 25, 2021 at the Charles George VA Hospice House in Asheville.  

Born January 29, 1948 in Rutherford County. North Carolina he was the son of the late Jessie Willard Arrowood and Faye Chatham Guffey. He was a Residential Home Builder prior to his retirement and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War having honorably served in the United States Army. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Bryce Arrowood.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and always willing to lend a helping hand. A friend for life.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda Godfrey Arrowood; a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Jeffrey Arrowood; a son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Dana Arrowood; grandchildren, Carlee, Addison, Beth, Lee, and a great-grandchild, Paisley.

A memorial service will be held at 4 o'clock Thursday, July 1, 2021 in The Padgett and King Chapel with the Reverend Jack Crain officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard on the lawn of the chapel.  The family will greet family and friends following the service in an outdoor reception.
