Cathy Knapp Obituary

Cathy Weeks Knapp, age 65, died Thursday, May 28, 2020 at her residence. She was born April 16, 1955 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Julius Deck Weeks and Betty Harvey Weeks.

Cathy was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and companion.

Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly Johnson of Landrum, South Carolina, her sons, Mark Roach of Phoenix, Arizona, Chris Weeks of Ellenboro, her longtime companion, Steve Jaynes of the home, and brothers, Stanley Weeks of Ellenboro and Edward Weeks of Rutherfordton. There are also seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 o’clock Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at the Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Dr. Bobby Gantt officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
