Carrie Lovelace Obituary

Carrie Brackett Lovelace, age 83 formerly of Ellenboro, died Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Oak Grove Health Care Center where she was a resident. She was born in Lawndale, North Carolina on September 25, 1938, and was a daughter of the late Romie and Cordie Self Brackett. Carrie was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Lovelace, a sister, Lucy Bumgardner and a brother, Ted Brackett.

Survivors include her children, Reggie Horton of Dallas, NC, and Jennifer Lovelace of Ellenboro, a brother, Ray Brackett of Shelby and sisters, Jessie Sweezy and Dessie Brackett both of Shelby. There are five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Oak Grove Health Care, Patient Activity Fund, 518 Old US 221, Rutherfordton, North Carolina 28139.

A graveside memorial service is being planned and will be announced by The Padgett and King Mortuary & Crematory.
