Carolyn Bradley Blanton, age 80 of Ellenboro died Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Hospice House in Forest City. She was born on July 23, 1941, in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Albert Dewey Bradley and Eunice Rutland Bradley.
Carolyn was a faithful member of Caroleen United Methodist Church, and she was a retired legal secretary with more than 45 years service. During her career, she had worked for attorneys Nat Hamrick, George Morrow, Jarald Willis and Tommy Davis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyce Eugene Blanton in 2016.
Survivors include her children, Thomas Blanton and wife Sherri, Kimberly Blanton Snyder and husband Mark, her grandchildren, Rebecca Grace Blanton, MacKenzie Hope Blanton, Jonathan Roland Snyder, and Matthew Reece Snyder, her brother, Albert Dewey Bradley, Jr. and sister, Mary Elizabeth Bradley Williamson and husband, Robert. There are also a number of nieces, nephews and the Blanton family that she loved.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o’clock Sunday, May 22, 2022, in the Caroleen United Methodist Church with Reverend Greg Dickens and Mr. Russell Williams delivering a eulogy. The family will receive friends following the service at the church on Sunday. In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated following the service.
