Carol Freiboth Green, 87, of Spindale, NC, died Saturday, February 11, 2023 at her home. She was born in Great Falls, Montana and was the daughter of the late Edwin R. Freiboth and Margaret Cummings Freiboth and widow of the late Thomas Francis Green, Jr. Carol worked as a registered nurse for many years and was also a teacher’s aide. She was a member of Shelby Church of Christ, an avid scrapbooker, and loved painting and gardening.
Survivors include her son, Scott Green (Sylvia) of Winston-Salem, NC; daughters, Suzanne DeLaGarza (Jerald) of Rutherfordton, NC and Sharon Green of Spindale, NC; grandchildren, Dylan, Isabella and Conner DeLaGarza, and Andrew and Tyler Angus. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Steven Green.
A private service will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, P O Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
