Carl Lee Biggerstaff

Carl Lee Biggerstaff, age 75 of Rutherfordton, died Saturday, August 13, 2022.  Carl was born on October 18, 1946, in Rutherford County and was the son of Madeline Short Biggerstaff of Rutherfordton and the late Grover Biggerstaff.

Carl was a member of Sandy Springs Baptist Church, and he worked as a computer instructor for Isothermal Community College until his retirement. 

He attended Harris School, was a graduate of Chase High School in 1966 and then he went on to attend Isothermal Community College for two years and then to Gardner-Webb College where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1972.

Carl was also a CPA and he owned and operated Biggerstaff’s Bookkeeping Service from his home.

Survivors include his mother, Madeline Short Biggerstaff of Rutherfordton, his uncle, Robert Short of San Antonio, Texas, his aunt, Mary Mize of Winston-Salem, NC, as well as many cousins. 

A graveside service will be held at 4 o’clock Friday, August 19, 2022, at Sandy Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend David Anderson and Reverend Terrell Dillingham officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
