Lauren Bryce Arrowood, age 21 of Forest City, died Sunday, January 3, 2021. She was a native of Rutherford County and was born May 6, 1999. Bryce was a member of Florence Baptist Church and had been working as a health screener in the local high school and at American Nail Spa. She was a 2017 graduate of Chase High School and she received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Western Carolina University where she graduated in 2019. She was currently planning to obtain her master’s degree in the fall.
Bryce was the kind of person that brought light into any room she entered and never met a stranger. She always stayed true to herself and was selfless and vibrant. You could honestly say that if Bryce was your friend, she was a friend for life. Devoted and caring, her family and friends were the center of her life and she always made everyone feel special. Her outward beauty captured everyone’s eyes, and her inward beauty captured everyone’s heart.
She is survived by her parents, Jeffery and Tammy Arrowood, and her sisters, Carlee Anne Arrowood and Addison Grace Arrowood all of Forest City, her grandparents, Charles and Linda Arrowood, Terry Ferguson and the late Johnny Ferguson who died in 2015, and Carolyn Arrowood and the late Leonard Arrowood who died in 2020. There are also several aunts, uncles and cousins that loved Bryce.
A graveside service will be held at 2 o’clock on Sunday, January 10, 2021 in the Cool Springs Cemetery with Reverend Dr. Bobby Gantt officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery. Social distancing and masks are requested for those attending.
Memorials may be made to the Grace of God Rescue Mission, 537 West Main Street, Forest City, North Carolina 28043 to help those less fortunate.
