Brenda Janette Watson, age 81 of Union Mills, North Carolina died Friday, January 13, 2023, at Mission Hospital in Asheville.

Brenda was born on October 9, 1941, in Bear Creek, Alabama and was the daughter of the late John Lewis Moon and Ona Gay Tidwell Moon. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Forest City, North Carolina.

Brenda devoted her life to family and blessed the lives of all those her knew her. She was proud of her relationship with God and loved to share a prayer. Her kind and loving spirit will forever be remembered

Survivors include her husband, Ron Watson of the home, her son, Brian Solesbee (Tonya), her daughters, Rebecca McCombs (Eddie) and Kathi Dalton, her stepchildren, Catharine Rohrman and James Watson. Her 14 grandchildren (Latasha, Kase, Erin, Jordan, Jaron, Kendra, Andrew, Hannah, Sarah, Brandon, Brian, Keri, Olivia, Alex) also 14 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Billy Webb and two sons in law Larry Thomas and Brad Dalton.

A memorial service is being planned and will be announced at a later date
