Brenda Atchley Freeman

Brenda Atchley Freeman, 61, of Forest City, NC, died Tuesday, May 5, 2020.  Born in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late William “Bud” Atchley and Mildred Louise Wood Bailey.  Brenda retired from Rutherford Electric Membership Corporation and was a member of Adaville Baptist Church where she had served as church treasurer and was a member of the choir.  She was also a 1976 graduate of R S Central High School.

Survivors include her sons, Aaron Ledbetter and wife Nicole of Rock Hill, SC, and Tyler Ledbetter and wife Kristie of Walland, TN; daughter, Courtney Ledbetter of Forest City, NC; sisters, Janet Turner of Casar, NC, and Patsy Thompson of Polk County; grandchildren, McKenzie and Carson Ledbetter; four nieces and four nephews.

Graveside services will be held 2 pm Saturday May 10, 2020 at Adaville Baptist Church Cemetery, Spindale, NC with Rev. Cal Sayles officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011 or Relay for Life online at www.cancer.org/involved/fundraise/relay-for-life.
