Brenda Sue Boiter, age 77 of Forest City died Sunday, April 2, 2023, at Hospice at Wendover in Shelby. Brenda was born on June 24, 1945, in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Sam Thomas Boiter and Hester Cochran Boiter.
Brenda graduated in the first class at East Rutherford High School and was a lifelong Baptist. She was a former volunteer with the Girl Scouts of America and the Community Pet Center. She was a talented and artistic person who loved painting and woodworking as well as mowing her lawn and playing cards with her friends. When her nieces and nephew were young, she could be found at every sporting event supporting them in whatever sport.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Jo Harmon in 2012.
Survivors include her nieces, Pam Harmon of Shelby, Carole Harmon Tharpe and husband Neal of Mooresville, her nephew, Tommy Harmon and wife Amy of Kings Mountain. There are also great-nieces, and several cousins that survive.
THE MEMORIAL SERVICE HAS BEEN SCHEDULED FOR 2 O'CLOCK ON FRIDAY, MAY 5, 2023 IN THE PADGETT AND KING FUNERAL CHAPEL WITH THE REVEREND TONYA GARRISON OFFICIATING. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS FOLLOWING THE SERVICE AT THE CHAPEL.
