Brad Park Obituary

Brad Christopher Park, age 36 of Stuart, Florida, formally of Rutherfordton died Monday, September 28, 2020.

Born August 23, 1984 he was the son of Derrick Dwayne Park and Chrisandra “Chris” Buckner Park. He was a 2002 graduate of East Rutherford High School and had worked as a painter, carpenter and roofer in residential construction for several years.

In addition to his parents, Brad  is survived by his brothers, Brent Park of Wilmington, North Carolina and Benjamin Park of Rutherfordton; a sister, Baylee Park of Rutherfordton; his maternal grandparents, Terry and Yavonne Buckner of Forest City, paternal grandparents, Quentin and Kim Park of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Kathy Towery of Asheboro, North Carolina; uncles, Doug and Dawn Buckner, Kent and Sandra Park, and cousins, Kelsey Buckner Padgett and husband, Andy,  Maleah and Kolton, Cayla  Partridge, Jessica Terrell and Drew Terrell.

Brad had a genuine love for his family, a special bond with his brothers, Brent and Benjamin, and his “little sister”, Baylee. Each relationship was unique and held a special place in his heart. Brad’s love for his Granny, Papaw, Uncle Doug, Kelsey Buckner, Maleah and Kolton was pure and deep.

Brad loved everybody “BIG” with his huge heart.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 2 o’clock at the Liberty Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Mack Tester and the Reverend Matt Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 until 1:45 prior to the service at the church.

Memorial contributions in Brad’s memory may be made to a College Fund set up for his little sister, Baylee.
