Bookter Molt Edwards, age 72 of Ellenboro died Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Hospice House of Forest City.  Bookter was born on June 24, 1952, in Rutherford County and was a son of the late Molt and Mafra Silvers Edwards. 

For many years he worked with his brothers in the dry wall business eventually starting his own business, Bookter’s Dry Wall Service, working in many homes in Rutherford County.  He also enjoyed watching and playing golf as well as old cars.  He was a family man and each of his grandchildren were special to him.

Survivors include his wife and life companion, Barbara Yarbrough of the home, his step-sons, Bryan Yarbrough, Michael Yarbrough and wife Dena all of Ellenboro, his step-daughter, Sonya Meadows and husband Michael of Rutherfordton, his brothers, Ralph Edwards and wife Kathy, and Steve Edwards all of Ellenboro.  There are 10 step-grandchildren and many step-great-grandchildren.
