Billy Turner Obituary
Billy Eugene Turner, age 72 of Spindale died Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville. Billy was born February 6, 1947 in Morristown, Tennessee and was a son of the late Arvel Eugene Turner and Ruth Moss Turner. He worked as an equipment operator for a grading company and served his country in the United States Navy.
Billy was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Godfrey Turner and their infant son as well as his faithful canine companion Coco, which brought so much joy to Billy.
His survivors include a son, Jeff Turner, sister-in-law, Dorlene Robbins and her children Paige and Pat Robbins, mother-in-law, Betty Godfrey, his best friends, Jody Ingle and wife Heidi, Kenny Moore, and neighbors and good friends, Diane Holland, Edward, William, and Tyler Holland.
A graveside service will be held at 11 o'clock Friday, August 23, 2019 at Cool Springs Cemetery with military honors accorded by The Rutherford County Honor Guard.
