Billy Dean Mashburn

Billy Dean Mashburn, age 83 of Forest City, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at his home.  Billy was born on September 1, 1937 in Rutherford County and was a son of the late John and Jenny Crow Mashburn. 

He was a member of Adaville Baptist Church and he worked for 39 years at Stonecutter Mills where he retired as a supervisor in the Dye Department. Billy was a loving and faithful husband, father and grandfather. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Mashburn Kinney, his sisters, Eugenia Barnes and Nora Greene and brother, Paul Mashburn.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of fifty-six years, Mabel Yelton Mashburn, his daughter, Ginny Mashburn Simpson (Josh), his son, Travis Mashburn and partner Shalyn Laughter, a brother, Ray Mashburn, and his grandchildren, Andrew Kinney, LaRue Laughter, Lukcas Laughter, and Wyatt Simpson.

The family will have a private memorial service in the Padgett and King Chapel for immediate family.
