Billy Ray ("Bill") Koone

Billy Ray Koone, age 81 of Forest City, died Friday, August 7, 2020 at his residence.  Bill was born March 9, 1939 in Rutherford County and was a son of the late Addie Joe Koone and Ola Rollins Koone.   He was a Five Star Lineman for Pike Electric where he retired as well as a member of Bethany Baptist Church.  Bill also served his country in the United States Navy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Hyder Koone in 2011, his daughter, Ronna Koone, brothers, Woodrow Koone and Paul Koone, and sister, Bonnie Koone.

Survivors include his daughter, Dana Koone Bright, and husband Robbie of Forest City, his brother, Clyde Koone of Shelby, his sisters, Myrtle Padgett of Falls Church, VA,  Ruby Cole of Hendersonville, and Daisy Daughtrey of Spindale.  There are also five grandchildren, Brannon Smith, Jake Bright, Riley Bright, and Hank Bright.

Services are private for the immediate family.
