Eli Baylor Burke, age 2, of Forest City, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. 

Baylor was born on February 13, 2022, in Sullivan County, Tennessee and was almost three years old.  He was a happy and content child who loved being around people and he brough so much joy into the lives of everyone he touched.  Baylor was like most boys and enjoyed playing with his collection of toy balls and sticks as well as listening to music.  He was a member of The A.R.C. Church in Bostic where his father is pastor.

His is survived by his parents, Austin and Lindsey Burke,  his grandparents, Chris and Denise Addison of Wythe County, Virgina, Junior and Freda Burke of Pounding Mill, Virginia, his aunts and uncles, Phillip and Heather Arnold, Seth and Madison Burke, and Ethan Addison, and extended family that were adopted aunts and uncles to Baylor, Gene and Angel Boyd and their daughter Harper, who was Baylor’s best friend.   

The funeral service will be held at 2 o’clock on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Prayer, Praise, and Deliverance Cathedral, 736 Stateline Road, Mooresboro, North Carolina with the Reverend Ron Tiller and Reverend Ted Erskin officiating.  Interment will follow at the Cool Springs Cemetery in Forest City.  The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1:45 prior to the service at the church.
