Annette Wright Francis

Annette Wright Francis, age 73, of Forest City, died Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Frye Regional Medical Center, Hickory.  Born in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Zane Gray Wright and Mary Smith Wright.  Annette is also the widow of John David Francis.  A graduate of Chase High School, she furthered her education at Isothermal Community College and earned a Bachelors degree and Masters degree in Art from Converse College.  Annette spent thirty five years teaching art to students at her studio, Annette’s School of Art.  She also loved gardening and maintained an extensive flower garden.

Survivors include her son, Andy Francis and wife Sandra of Forest City, a granddaughter, Hope Francis of Forest City and a brother, Gary Wright of western North Carolina. 

Services will be private for the family.  For those who wish to do so, the family request  that live plants be sent to Annette’s home and will be planted in her flower garden in her memory.  The Padgett & King Mortuary & Crematory is serving the Francis family.  Online condolences can be made at www.padgettking.com.
