Ann Glascoe Parker

Ann Glascoe Parker, age 85 of Rutherfordton, died on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Hilltop Health and Rehabilitation.  The daughter of the late Jack and Dorothy Glascoe, Ann was born in Rutherford County on August 13, 1940.

Ann was a familiar and welcoming face in the community, and she was the proud owner and operator of Ann’s Restaurant on Hardin Road in Forest City.  She spent many years feeding and serving the people of Rutherford County and surrounding areas.  Outside of her work, she found great joy in the outdoors, especially fishing.  She will be remembered for her strong work ethic and her kind heart and spirit.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Phyllis Parker, sister Linda Glascoe Tedrow, and grandson Taylor Parker.

Ann is survived by her husband of sixty-nine years Edward Parker, Sr. of the home, sons Edward Parker Jr. and wife Ruth of Marion, and Matthew Parker of Winston-Salem, sister, Ruth Horne of Bostic, grandsons Hunter Parker and Ethan Parker, and six great-grandchildren.  

A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at 4 o’clock in the afternoon at the Padgett & King Chapel with Reverend Casey Stockton officiating.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the mortuary from 3 until 4 o'clock prior to the service.
