William “Bill” Secker Jr, age 81, of Bostic NC passed away on September 22, 2019 at Hospice House.

Bill was the eldest son of William Sr and Willamette Secker, brother to Daniel Secker, born in Charleston SC. A career USAF combat fighter pilot, he flew the F100, F105, and the F111. During the Vietnam conflict he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Metal with 11th Oak Leaf Clusters, the Air Force Commendation Metal, the National Defense Service Metal, Combat Readiness Metal, Vietnam Service Metal, Republic of Vietnam Combat Metal, and the Air Force Longevity of service Award among other accolades.

After departing the Air Force as a Major, Bill retired to Rutherford County and operated a FBO at the Rutherford Co Airport during the 80s.

He is survived by Sons, William III, Bradley, and step children John Hodge, Jacquelyn Corday, Natasha Corday, and grandchildren Gabrielle, Hayden and Natalie Secker.
