William Chivous "Bill" Huntley

William Chivous "Bill" Huntley, age 88, of Forest City, died Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, Forest City.   A native of Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Clarence Edgar Huntley and Mattie Roberson Huntley.   Bill retired as office manager with American Credit and also worked in used car sales for many years. He was a US Air Force veteran, a graduate of Cool Springs High School and a member of First Baptist Church, Forest City.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Betty Ruth Daniel Huntley of the home, a daughter, Karen Huntley Quick and husband Ashley Lynn of Mooresville, NC and a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held 2 pm Monday, February 5th in the Padgett & King Chapel with the Reverend Dr. Garin Hill and Reverend  Dr. Barry Keys officiating.  Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, Forest City.  The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 pm on Monday at the mortuary.
