Wesley Tarlton Obituary

 

Wesley Tarlton, age 26 of Forest City passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019.  Wesley was born in Rutherford County and graduated from East Rutherford High School in 2011.  He began playing T-ball at an early age, continuing through Forest City Little League.  He was a proud member of the 2010 State Championship baseball team at East Rutherford High School. 

He also played soccer with the Rutherford County recreation League and at East Rutherford High School.  Throughout his sports career, he forged lasting friendships with many teammates.  His broad smile could light up a room.  Wesley was happiest when he was playing a game or watching one on television.  He had a special love for the University of Tennessee and became a diehard fan for the Big Orange.

Wesley was presently employed at Milliken and worked at the Allen Plant in Blacksburg, South Carolina and was a member of First Baptist Church of Forest City.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bryan Sanders, and paternal grandparents, Vernon and Lovada Tarlton.

He is survived by his parents, Dennis and Tina Tarlton of Forest City, his brother, Cory Tarlton of Charlotte and grandmother, Jean Sanders of Morristown, Tennessee.

The family will have a time of visitation from 1 until 2:30 Saturday, February 9, 2019 in the sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Forest City.  A private service for the family will be held afterwards.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the organ fund at First Baptist Church, 211 West Main Street, Forest City, North Carolina 28043 or any organization that is meaningful to you.
