Texanne Smith Jolley, age 66 of Rutherfordton, North Carolina died Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Hospice of The Carolina Foothills in Forest City. Texanne was born August 3, 1952 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Max and Betty Ann Penson Smith. She worked as a beautician her entire career retiring six years ago. She was a graduate of East Rutherford High School and a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Douglas Jolley in 1995.
Survivors include her son, Steven Douglas Jolley and wife Teena of Sanford, NC, a daughter, Kelly Suzanne Edmonds and husband Joshua Keith Edmonds of Rutherfordton, three brothers, Stephen Burgin, Richard Smith, and Todd Smith, a sister, Gina Morrison, five grandchildren, Hunter Earley, Jocelyn Edmonds, Nathan Jolley, Mason Jolley, Taylor Jolley, a great-grandchild, Luca Douglas Earley, her fiancée, Joe Byers, and mother-in-law, Frances Jolley.
Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Saturday, December 15, 2018 in the Bethany Baptist Church with Reverend Chris Fox and Reverend Mike Connor officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be in the Sanctuary from 12:30 until 1:45 Saturday prior to the service.
