Ted White Obituary

Ted Duncan White, age 86 of Forest City entered into his Heavenly Home on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care surrounded by his wife and children.

Born on August 22, 1932 in Rutherford County, North Carolina he was the son of the late Memory and Mabel Blake White. He was a faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church, was known for his sweet nature, gentle spirit and was of the highest character. He was as a devoted friend to all. Ted was a loving husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed fishing, wood working, Braves Baseball and his garden. He retired after 44 years of service from Stonecutter Mills where he worked his way up to Winding Room Supervisor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Roger Winn, a grandson, Blake Luckadoo, a great grandson, Christopher Sutton, a brother, George White and a sister, Jean White Baynard.

His legacy lives on through his loving wife of 66 years, Jessie Cole White; four daughters, Wanda Winn, Carolyn Cantrell and husband, Ricky, Tammy Luckadoo and husband, Phil, Ann Doggett and husband, Max; a son, Ted White and wife, Mickey; twelve grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and his faithful dog, Freddie.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 3 o'clock at the Liberty Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Mack Tester and the Reverend Owen Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The Family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 prior to the service at the Church.
