Shirley Ann (Lane) Ramsey

Shirley Ann Lane Ramsey, age 73 of Spindale died Tuesday, January 8, 2019 following a sudden illness.  She was born September 11, 1945 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Lewis and Annie Mae Freeman Lane.  Shirley worked for many years at Stonecutter Mills and was a homemaker. 

She was a member of Sandy Level Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the church choir.  Shirley was a graduate of East Rutherford High School.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, James Ramsey, two daughter, Connie King and husband Blake of Forest City, Julie Greene and husband James of Spindale, a brother, Don Lane and wife Sandra of Spindale, a sister, Brenda Hammond of Forest City as well as three grandchildren, Cameron Greene, Connor Greene and Callie Greene.

The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Friday, January 11, 2019 in the Sandy Level Baptist Church with Reverend David Barton officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be in the sanctuary from 12:30 until 1:45 prior to the service.
