Ronald Merle Filer

Ronald Merle “Ronnie” Filer, age 58, died, Monday, July 15, 2019 at his home in Forest City. A native of Erie, Pennsylvania, he was a son of Katherine Zarecky Filer and the late Frank Filer; he was owner and operator of Filer Computer Service, graduate of Isothermal Community College, and member of Smith Grove Baptist Church. Ronnie was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Filer.

Survivors include his wife Donna Upton Filer of the home, a son, Mitchell Thomas Filer and wife Tiffany of Forest City, a daughter, Megan Filer Upton and husband Kenneth of Murfreesboro, TN, a brother, Gary Filer and wife Terrie of Forest City, a sister, Tammie Filer of Forest City, and his mother and father in law, Paul Crowder Upton and Carolyn Tate Upton. There are two grandchildren, Miss Ryleigh Filer of Forest City and Miss Chloe Upton of Murfreesboro, TN.

Funeral services are private for the family with interment in the Smith Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The Padgett & King Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
