Robyn Elaine (Blake) Elliott

Robyn Blake Elliott, age 63 of Forest City died Monday, November 4, 2019 at her residence.  Robyn was born February 11, 1956 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of Billie Blake and the late Warren G. Blake.

Robyn was a graduate of East Rutherford High School and she went on to receive her Bachelor's degree from Gardner-Webb and later her Master's degree from Converse College.   As a member of First Baptist Church of Forest City she served on various committees as well as being a youth Sunday school teacher.  She was also a former Girl Scout leader.

Robyn was a dedicated teacher in the Rutherford County School System where she retired with 31 years' service.  She had served at several schools including Green Hill, Sunshine, Cool Springs, and Mount Vernon.  Robyn  was named Rutherford County Teacher of the year in 2011-2012.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Elliott , her children, Nick Elliott and wife Jennifer of Forest City,  Andy Elliott and wife Amanda of West Jefferson, NC, and Sarah Elliott Tisdale and husband, Andrew of Forest City, her mother, Billie Blake and husband Ray Hutchins of Gilkey, brothers, Scott Blake and wife Lynn of Marion, Brad Blake and wife Sherry of Gilkey as well as eight grandchildren, Coleman, Mary Grace, and Elliott Tisdale, Michael and Katie Elliott, Abby, Lany, and Robert Elliott.

A memorial service will be held at 11 o'clock Wednesday, November 6, 2019 in the First Baptist Church of Forest City with Reverend Dr. Garin Hill officiating.  Visitation will follow the service in the Family Fellowship Hall.  Interment will be private for the family in the Cool Springs Cemetery.
