Rene Alfred Michaud, age 90 of Rutherfordton, North Carolina died Monday, December 17, 2018 at his residence. Rene was born August 19, 1928 in Eagle Lake, Maine and was a son of the late Thomas and Eveline Gagnon Michaud. He was a long distance truck driver and preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Michaud.

Survivors include a son, Ronald Michaud and wife Louann of Southbury, CT, daughters, Diane Michaud of Bristol, CT, Ann Owens of Bradenton, FL, Terese Michaud of Maine, step-children, Wendy Brown and Corey Noyes of Lake Lure, NC, sisters, Gilda Sims of California and Lucille Jankowski of Maine. There are 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
