Ralph Edwin Jones

Ralph Edwin "Ed" Jones, age 63 of Gaffney, South Carolina  died Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.  Ed was born June 1, 1954 in Rutherford County and was a son of the late Ralph Lee Jones and Mildred George Jones.  He worked as a construction foreman and also had worked with his late father at Jones Plumbing Company. 

Ed grew up in Rutherford County and was raised in the Spencer Baptist Church where he was baptized.  He was also a graduate of R-S Central High School Class of 1972.   He was a devoted son, father, grandfather, and brother.

Survivors include a son, Ralph Gregory Jones of Shelby, a daughter, Alecia Jones Pruett and fiancée, Shane Merrill of Marion, two sisters, Judy Turner and husband Michael of Lake Wylie, SC, and Angela Warner and husband Ken of Woodstock, GA.  There are also three grandchildren, C. J. Pruett, KayLee Pruett, and Haydenn Jones, two great-grandchildren, Mason Harris and Madiline Pruett.

Memorial services will be held at 5 o'clock Friday, June 1, 2018 at The Padgett and King Chapel with Reverend Bruce Caldwell officiating.  The family will received friends immediately following the service.  In keeping with the families wishes, please dress casual as Ed would prefer it that way.
